Gold Reef City Theme Park

Soweto Bungee Jump
Adventure meets township tourism in a whole new way. Enjoy one of Soweto's most famous landmarks in a heart pumping way by taking part in either a swing (a world first between two cooling towers), an internal tower swing, base jumping or bungee jump off the West Orlando Tower. The Towers form part of the old Orlando Power station and have become a major colourful attraction in the area.
Crystal Tour at Sudwala Caves
The Sudwala Caves, situated just a short distance from Mbombela (Nelspruit), has seen visits from humans since the early Stone Age. Today you can enjoy a fare more exhilarating experience by taking part in the Crystal Tour at Sudwala. This underground adventure takes you over 2 000 meters into the heart of the caves and the beautiful crystal chamber with its dazzling array of sparkling aragonite crystals. The highly adventurous tour involves scrambling up and down rocks, wading through water and crawling through small tunnels. This tour is suited to adventure lovers with average agility, no back or knee problems and with no claustrophobia problems!
The aerial cable trail stretches a total length of 1.2kms and links 10 elevated platforms. This adventurous activity combines the freedom of gliding down the valley basin with adrenaline pumping speeds and heights. The trail has been designed and built to strict standards and all equipment is designed specifically for this activity. All groups are escorted by qualified and experienced guides.
Kruger Park Wilderness Trails
The Kruger Park Wilderness Trails are conducted in real wilderness areas, where vast open spaces and a special kind of atmosphere that very few other destinations can offer. Being on foot in Big 5 country allows participants to really feel part of the environment and focus on smaller things in the wilderness that are often not seen from a vehicle. Accompanied by professionally trained and experienced guides, trailists enjoy daily walking trails through remote areas of the Kruger Park. The Sun City Resort is an entertainment complex in the heart of the North West Province that is is home to variety of activities to cater for young and old. The Resort features two Gary Player designed golf courses, various watersport activities on its own dam as well as the Valley of the Waves with its own wave pool and adrenalin filled slides. Annual Sardine Run
June sees the amazing spectacular of the annual Sardine Run along the coasts of Kwa-Zulu Natal. The large shoals of sardines attract fisherman, sharks, game fish, marine mammals and birds who hunt the silver fish. The shoals are massive and can stretch for kilometers on end along the coast with predators following the fish above and below water. This great spectacular can be viewed from the comfort of a boat deck, or for the more adventurous at heart, under the water!
Crocodile & Hippo Tours
The iSimangaliso Wetland Park is one of Africa's largest estaurine systems, home to over 526 bird species and 25 000 year old coastal dunes. It comprises of three major lake systems with eight interlinking ecosystems. This is also the background to exciting Crocodile & Hippo boat tours. Explore the waterways to discover and view majestic hippos and Nile crocodiles in their natural habitat.
Golden Gate National Park Hikes
Enjoy some of South Africa's most spectacular mountain scenery in the Free State at the Golden Gate National Park. The Rhebok Trail is a popular two day one night trail that allows hikers to experience the majestic scenery which includes the rich coloration of the sandstone cliffs that gave rise to the park's name. Note that this trail is for experienced hikers only. Shorter nature trails, varying from 1 - 5 hours, can also be enjoyed. Wildlife in the park include Eland and Black Wildebeest.
4x4 Trails in Addo Elephant National Park
Addo Elephant National Park is the third largest in South Africa and conserves a wide range of biodiversity, landscapes, fauna and flora. The Bedrogfontein 4x4 trail between the Kabouga and Darlington areas of the park provides an adventurous glimpse of the park's history and its breathtaking views. The 4x4 route was the scene of fierce battles between the Afrikaner and British troops during the Anglo-Boer war. There are rock art paintings throughout the area as well. Due to the terrain, and so as to minimize impact on the surroundings, the route is only suitable for 4x4 vehicles with low range facilities.
Shark Cage Diving
Gansbaai is known as the White Shark Capitol of the world and the best place to view these apex predators in their natural environment. The sharks are especially attracted to the seals and penguins which make their homes on Dyer Islands just off the coast. Shark cage diving is safe and thrilling way of getting up close and personal with the Great Whites. Shark Cage diving in South Africa takes place throughout the year with the best visibility being during the South African winter months (May to August), although visibility is still excellent during the Summer months.
The Bloukrans Bungy has been recognized as the world's highest commercial bungy bridge and has already been the back drop for a number of world records. The views from one of Africa's highest bridges captures all the majesty and breathtaking tranquility of the Bloukraans River Valley, although jumping off the bridge is anything but tranquil. The adrenaline pumping activity has not only been taken on by various well known South African sport stars and celebrities but also international personalities and even royalty!
Orange River River Rafting and Kayaking
The Orange River, originating from the Drakensberg Mountains, is one of the longest rivers in South Africa flowing through the majority of South Africa before ending in the Atlantic Ocean. Various river rafting and kayaking adventure trails can be done on the Orange River that flows through the Richtersveld. The area is the only true mountain desert in South Africa and makes for truly special scenery along the route.
